The Two Brothers
In a town in the mountains there is a little family. The father is a doctor. The mother is a doctor, too. The two brothers in the family say, "We don't wanna be doctors."
"What do you wanna be?" asks the father.
The two brothers say, "We always go for walks in the mountains. How about shepherds?"
The next day the two brothers go up the mountain. They find a shepherd with his sheep and he teaches them. "We can be shepherds!" they say.
After they eat lunch, they go to sleep under a tree.
A horn pokes big brother in the arm. He jumps up and says to little brother, "Get up! Let's get out of here!" they do not look behind and see the sheep with horns.
They start to run down the mountain. Horns poke into them from behind. They cry, "Help!" they get to a river and swim.
When they get home their mother asks, "Do you like being shepherds?"
Big brother says, "No! We can fight fires, fix teeth, help sick people and teach sports!"
"But we never wanna be shepherds," says little brother.

THE PARROT
There once was a man who kept a parrot as a pet. One day when he had to leave his home on business for a week, he took the parrot to a friend and said, “I am going away for a short time. Will you please look after my parrot for me?”
His friend said that he would do so, and took the parrot into his house where a cat was. The cat had never ever seen a parrot before and was wondering whether it was a bird or not. If it was a bird it would be very good to eat.
Very slowly the cat came nearer and nearer. It was thinking how comfortable it would feel after it had eaten this fine bird.
The parrot was very much afraid, but it kept quiet and didn’t move until the cat was near enough to jump. Then, suddenly, the parrot shouted, “haven’t you had your breakfast?”
Now the cat was afraid. It ran away as fast as it could. Probably it was saying to itself, “that is not a bird, it’s a man.”
The Horse and Groom
A Groom used to spend whole days in currycombing and rubbing down his Horse, but at the same time stole his oats and sold them for his own profit. "Alas!" said the Horse, "if you really wish me to be in good condition, you should groom me less, and feed me more."
The Cat and the Cock
A Cat caught a Cock, and pondered how he might find a reasonable excuse for eating him. He accused him of being a nuisance to men by crowing in the nighttime and not permitting them to sleep. The Cock defended himself by saying that he did this for the benefit of men, that they might rise in time for their labors. The Cat replied, "Although you abound in specious apologies, I shall not remain supperless"; and he made a meal of him.
The two brothers
This is a story about two brothers named James and Henry. One was a very good boy. His name was James. He always made his mother very happy. His clothes were always clean. And he always washed his hands before he ate his dinner.
The other boy was Henry. He was a naughty boy. He did not close the doors. He kicked the chairs in the house. When his mother asked him to help her, he did not want to. Sometimes he took cakes from the cupboard and ate them. He liked to play in the street. He always made his mother very angry.
One day the school was not open. The two boys went to the park to play. Their mother gave them some money and told them to buy their lunch with their money. They took a ball with them. Before going to the park they stopped to buy lunch. James bought a sandwich with is money but Henry bought a large packet of sweets and ate them all.
After lunch the two boys played in the park with their ball. Then Henry wanted to go home because he was feeling sick. He had eaten so many sweets. When they got home his mother put him in bed without any dinner and told him that it was wrong to eat sweets for lunch.

The doctor followed the woman to her home. He saw that they were very poor people. There was no food in the house, and the rooms were very cold. The doctor looked at the sick man. Then he said to the woman, “Come to my house this afternoon and I’ll give you something. It’ll help your husband.”
In the afternoon the woman went to the doctor’s house. He gave her a box and he said, “Take this to your husband. It will make him feel better.”
When the woman reached her home, she opened the box. It was full of money. She went to the shops, and bought some food. She also bought wood to make a fire. Soon her husband was well again.

THE EGGS
One day a girl was going into city to sell some eggs. She was carrying the eggs in a basket on her hand.
“When I sold the eggs,” she thought, “I’ll have a lot of money. Then I’ll buy a new dress and a pair of red shoes. Everyone will look at me and say, ‘how beautiful she is!’”
Just then a big bus came up behind her. She did not hear it until it was quite near. Then she jumped out of the way. Her basket fell to the ground and the eggs were broken.
There were many people in the bus, and they laughed at the girl. One man shouted to her, “You should never carry all your eggs in one basket.”
A PIECE OF MEAT
One day a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher’s shop. The dog ran away with the meal. It came to a bridge over a stream. As the dog was crossing the bridge, it saw something loving in the water. There it saw a dog with a piece of meat in its mouth. It out down its own piece of meat and jumped into the water.
Of course there was no dog in the water; it had been looking at his own picture.
The dog swam to the side of the stream and got out of the water. Then it went to get the meat it had put down on the bridge. But the meat had gone. Another dog, a real dog, had found the meat and had run off with it.

THE APPLE TREE
Peter climbed the wall to reach the apples that were growing on the apple tree on the other side of the wall. He picked half-a-dozen and hid them in his pockets.
As he was jumping down again he slipped and fell. The fruit in his pockets was squashed. He did not hurt himself, but he could not eat the apples either. He ran home and quickly washed his trousers before his mother would find out what had happened.

A small crack appeared on a cocoon
A man sat for hours and watched carefully the struggle
of the butterfly to get out of that small crack of cocoon.
Then the butterfly stopped striving it seemed that she was
exhausted and couldn't go on trying.
The man decided to help the poor creature.
He widened the crack by scissors.
the butterfly came out of cocoon easily, but
her body was tiny and her wings were wrinkled.
The man continued watching the butterfly.
He expected to see her wings become expanded to protect her body.
But it didn't happen!
As a matter of fact, the butterfly had to crawl
on the ground for the rest of her life, for she could never fly.
The kind man didn't realize that God had arranged the limitation of cocoon,
and the struggle for butterfly to get out of it, so that a certain fluid
could be discharged from her body to enable her to fly afterward.
Sometime struggling is the only thing we need to do.
If God had provided us with on easy life to live without any difficulty,
then we became paralyzed, couldn't become strong,
and could not fly.
I asked for strength, and
He provided me with enough difficulties to become strong.
I asked for knowledge and
He provided me with problems to solve.
I asked for prosper ting and promotion, and
He provided me with ability to think and hands to work.
I asked for bravery, and
He provided me with obstacles to overcome.
I asked for motivation, and
He showed me people who needed help.
I asked for love and
He provided me with opportunity to give love to others.
I didn't get what I wanted...
but
I was provided with what I needed.
Don't worry, fight with difficulties and
be sure that you can prevail over them.
